he
first Pop Boutique opened in Oldham Street, Manchester
in conjunction with Cafe Pop a cool retro style veggie
cafe. The store opened in 1994 and was quickly followed
by another Pop Boutique in Monmouth Street, Convent
Garden, London.
The idea behind the stores
was to sell original 50's, 60's, 70's clothing combined
with accessories, furniture, watches, weird and wonderful
objects from high design to kitsch. A retro lifestyle
store with the individuality of a 1960's boutique
whilst always keeping ahead of current fashion trends.
